Rate Your Daycare
Rate Your Daycare is a digital platform that supports parents and guardians through the challenging process of finding safe & reliable childcare by compiling all of the available child care options into an easy to navigate website. Parents can effortlessly review and rate daycares within specified geographical areas.
The Process
Problem Statement
A parent who feels overwhelmed and exhausted by the process of selecting a daycare that is trustworthy, safe, and caring needs to search online for childcare providers in their area but must evaluate and investigate too many options.
Research & Analysis
Goal: To understand the needs and expectations of parents/guardians searching for daycare.

● Competitive Analysis of 3 other daycare search websites
● User Interviews of parents/guardians and daycare providers
● Market Research and Statistics
Provided recommendations based on research findings and insights.
Value Proposition & Concept Sketches
In this phase of the project we have taken the insights from our research to help guide our decisions for the concept stage. We have compiled our knowledge and applied it to the value proposition canvas and the lean business model canvas. We also sketched our initial ideas.
Wireframes
Wireframes were created from the feedback on our initial sketches. We presented 3 different concepts to RYD.
Prototype & Testing
In this phase of the project we prepared a high-fidelity prototype integrating the feedback and requests from each preceding phase. Leveraging, Useberry, an online usability testing software, we ran 8 users through a series of tasks. The following reviews the user experiences, as well as any resulting recommendations.
